Sav of the Day

Jim Calhoun
After winning his third National Championship, today's Sav of the Day, fittingly so is Jim Calhoun. Calhoun a Braintree, Mass. native started his coaching career at Northeastern with his first Head coaching job. While there he did a great job having many strong teams, this performance got him the job at Connecticut. He has had a great career there including like I said his third National Championship in the most boring one at that last night against Butler. Calhoun who has battled many issues off the court with his health, and on the court with a few violations, none the less is known to be a class act throughout the NCAA, accumulating over 800 wins in his career, as well as finding himself in the National Coaches Hall of Fame. Not to mention this year's National Championship Team had 5 freshman who were all contributers, showing that Calhoun is destined for more success in the upcoming years.
