Hunter S. Thompson
Since there's not much going on in the news in terms of savs, I figured I'd throw in a sav throwback for this overcast Wednesday. If you've never heard of Mr. Thompson, peep his wiki page ASAP. In a nutshell, he was a journalist who did a shitload of drugs in his time. The movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is based on one of his many trips to Vegas where he just did a variety of hallucinogens with his buddy in the desert. He was tight with a bunch of celebs, including Johnny Depp, who he's pictured here with and John Cusack in this gem of a picture.
Just look at these savs tearing it up in Sin City. Hollywood is currently working on The Rum Diary, naturally starring Depp, based on the writer's experiences in Puerto Rico. Thompson shot himself in the head a few years ago because he did not like being old, and because football season had just ended. We can all relate.
